Solution Sales Configuration – Why, and what for? Differentiators and Use Cases 

The Solution Sales Configurator is the only one of SAP’s five different configurator offerings that fulfills all the requirements specified by the CWG in its founding requirements papers.
In this workshop you’ll get a detailed, comprehensive view of how exactly the SSC differentiates itself from the VC, the AVC, CPS, and the configurator internal to CPQ – not only in terms of functionality, but also relative to performance.
And you’ll come to understand exactly for which configuration scenarios the SSC is not only the best suited, but also the only thing suited.
Concretely,  you can expect: not only live demos of SSC configuration at runtime as well as real time SSC configuration modeling, with lots of lively, interactive discussion, but also how to combine your existing Variant Configuration models into real customer solutions.

 
 
Explore the S/4HANA for advanced variant configuration (AVC) configuration lifecycle
 
Based on a seamlessly integrated process, various use cases from the configuration lifecycle are presented. Participants will learn different applications and best practices from various functional areas using S/4HANA advanced variant configuration (AVC).

 
  • Long-term planning
    Plan your assemblies for configurable materials
  • Solution Selling
    Create a coherent configured offering consisting of physical products, services, service contracts and subscriptions. Execute the fulfilment via dedicated processes for the selected items.
  • Intercompany Sales 
    Split sales, production and delivery of your configured product between two affiliated companies (sales entity & production entity)
  • Intracompany Business
    Distribute your production of your configured product across different production sites. 
  • Service Handling 
    Expand your services / service contracts with configurable options
  • Reporting
    Analyze your transactional data in real-time for your configured products and various functional areas, such as sales, production, etc.

The use cases will be demonstrated on S/4HANA Public Cloud. If time allows, I will give an outlook on further topics like ATP using Product Allocation, Engineer-to-Order and/or Customer Returns of Configurable Materials.
